Like all tools, there are those who misuse, misapply, and misinterpret yoga. Many rush to make grand claims about what they are capable of helping others achieve. We strongly encourage our readers to be skeptical.

Here, we are passionate about yoga as an area of study. We believe yoga should be explored as both a spiritual philosophy and physical discipline. We are seekers (sadhakas) of knowledge, peace, and consciousness. All Eight limbs of yoga are of equal weight and importance. We study a wide variety of topics and attempt to engage in meaningful discussion on the yogic worldview.

The best resources to help us accomplish our mission are academic in nature. The best hypotheses are tested using the scientific method, are scrutinized by peers, and supported with repeatable evidence. Our priority is to provide grounded explanations for the phenomena which stem from an authentic practice. It is our imperative to incorporate and revere the sciences. We would be poor seekers of the truth if we didn’t. Additionally, to explore the soul, we delve into all yoga-adjacent arts, voyage into spiritual scripture, and the historical context of yoga.

What we witness is our truth, but being able to reconcile our experience with facts is the first step toward understanding what is truly happening when we step onto our mats. From the observable to the narrative, I care about it all.

The rampant and unregulated growth of the AI industry has introduced disastrous consequences to our environment, social fabric, and economy. Correctly utilized and implemented, AI could have massive benefits for humanity. Unfortunately, today its merits are few since its development is primarily driven by greed. We do NOT support AI, its use or development in any of the following contexts:

Art is a form of expression. It is a product of consciousness. Creativity and the arts belong squarely within the domain of humanity. We believe informed consent is a fundamental human right.
