Thank you for visiting …
Welcome to my blog! I’ve practiced yoga for four (4) years … and counting! What initially started as a curiosity ended up transforming into a flourishing passion. My original vision was for this website to be a digital resource for people who are new to the practice. Now, four years in, I’m beginning to realize that this project ended up becoming a living, breathing reflection of myself.
I’ve changed so much since I first stepped onto the mat. Even still, I continue to transform and grow. Once upon a time, I wanted so badly to teach others. Get certified. Become an instructor. I even dreamt about opening up my own studio. As time went by and the wisdom continued to pour in, I realized that was not the direction I was headed. I am on a different path.
The impact of yoga on my life has been profound. Dare I say, even intimate. My foremost intention with this website is to chronicle these happenings through an authentic lens. Few things soothe my soul more than typing my thoughts into the ether. No labels or expectations of any kind. It’s a monument to how things continually manifest and evaporate when you’re taking life as it comes. It’s not only therapeutic, it’s also honest. In this way, my sincere hope is that the art in our experiences will take a shape all their own.
Once I understood how wholly personal of a journey growth is, I knew all I could ever share was my adventure. Reading is an exchange of not only connection, but also of data. Once others possess information, from there they can then draw their own conclusions, sit more comfortably in their decisions, and ultimately — arrive at their own destination. Somewhere along the way, I learned that I can’t teach others how to love yoga in the same ways or as deeply as I do. How unfortunate.
We’re here to travel far and dig deep. I’ve experienced tremendous loss and learned some hard lessons along the way, but I ended up finding so much more. If this website helps to illuminate the way, then that is a beautiful thing.
I am nothing but grateful.
